Event Overview

Our first day of STEM Summer Camp was full of hands-on science and creativity. Campers began by creating magnetic slime, learning how magnets interact with different materials and exploring the fascinating properties of non-Newtonian substances. They experimented with magnets to see how their slime responded and discussed the science behind magnetic attraction.

Next, students made their own lava lamps using common household materials. Through this activity, campers learned about density, chemical reactions, and why oil and water do not mix. Watching colorful bubbles rise and fall helped bring scientific concepts to life in an exciting and memorable way.

The day was filled with curiosity, experimentation, and plenty of opportunities for campers to ask questions and discover how science can be both educational and fun.
