Event Overview
Campers kicked off the week with two exciting biology activities. First, they investigated osmosis by observing how gummy bears changed size after soaking in different liquids. Students made predictions, collected observations, and discussed how water moves across cell membranes. They then built candy DNA models, learning about the structure of DNA and how genetic information is stored. The day combined hands-on experimentation with an introduction to important life science concepts.
Campers explored biology by investigating osmosis and building edible DNA models.
